Just Asking...

Why even bother with the charade of a civil society and try these suspects in a military tribunal if they will just be locked up as enemy combatants once their imprisonment is over? According to our rule of laws, people get released from jail once their sentence is over.

Adding that it's such a shame to see the utter lack of outrage from the raping of our Constitution over these last 8 years. I blame every one of those f$ckers who committed the atrocities but also add that WE are not without blame. We are not unlike the bystanders who witness the crime and do nothing, either out of fear or indifference. Too many of us believe that this will never affect us...until it does and then we are screwed.

Times like this remind me of the song "Waiting Room" by Fugazi with the following lyrics. If we all took this to heart our country and world would be much better off.

"But I don't stand idly by
I plan a big surprise
I'm gonna fight for what I want to be"
