What the...?

Shouldn't you actually have a product people want before you expand?

Saw on the ESPN ticker while working out that the WNBA is expanding to Atlanta. It's such big news that I can't even find a link to it. My first thought was really, the WNBA still exists. My second thought was really, a league with miniscule attendance is actually willing to lose ever more money through continual expansion. Well, I guess they play good fundamental basketballs (the old guys down at the Y do also but no one is lining up to see them, well, then again no one is lining up to see the WNBA). And they are role models for women, if women are impressed by a bunch of females playing in scarsely filled arenas.
