That Didn't Take Long
Well, pitchers and catchers reported yesterday for the Chicago Cubs. I stupidly thought it was too early for an injury guess for Prior and Wood. As usual with those 2 guys, now known as The Smashed Brothers, I underestimated their ability to get injured. They truly are the greatest walking injuries of my lifetime.
Somehow I don't expect this "minor" incident to go away quietly. I'm seen this movie before and it doesn't end well. His return will keep getting dragged out while he burns throw hundreds of towels and wins a simulated Cy Young.
A better guesstimate is when either pitcher will pitch a regular season game. Below are my predictions:
Wood - June 21st (out for season by Aug 2nd)
Prior - July 17th (out for the season on Sept 4th after 1-9 season)

The Chicago Cubs pitcher is not expected to throw off the mound for a few days after he slipped this week getting out of a hot tub at home. Wood landed on his stomach and chest.
