Like a Rolling Stone

Yesterday as I was listening to Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone" I got to thinking. Is this the perfect song? Or more appropriately, is this the greatest song ever written? The song is definitely classic. But when Detroit's rock stations did their top 500 songs or whatnot, I always remember it coming down to "Stairway to Heaven", "Free Bird", and "Hey Jude". While all good songs in their own right (though I have issues with "Free Bird" that I'll leave for another day), I have a hard time with any of those songs being better than "Like a Rolling Stone". There's just something magical about the song. And Dylan's written so many transcendent songs, but this one particular song really seems to rise above the rest and exists on some other galaxy. There may be prettier songs. But when you factor everything together, is there a better song than "Like a Rolling Stone"? From the opening lines I'm hooked - this is now my "Desperado" (Seinfeld reference).
