Mr. Spacely Considers Working Forever

Mr. Spacely: Better Management through fear tactics.

Mr. Spacely, long time boss of George Jetson and arguably the worst cartoon boss has been considering retirement for the past 20 years. Although something always comes up to persuade him otherwise; Most notably the business aspects of Sprockets and the morale of his employees.

"Jetson! I tried to groom George Jetson as my successor, but he fails at everything. Spacely Sprockets will never beat Cogswell's Cogs with his work ethic," grumbled Mr. Spacely in a recent AP interview. "I guess I must stay on indefinitely, until George gets the hang of things."

Mr. Spacely, built his empire of Sprockets when he was in his mid-20s. He still has no idea what his company actually produces although that never stops him from competing with Cogswell.

"We make, we make. We make the best damn Sprockets ever! They work much better than a Cogswell Cog," stammered Spacely.

Friends of the business tycoon were quick to mention that Mr. Spacely was truly a nice guy who just got sucked up in the corporate machine.

"We are not even competing in the same industry," said Mr. Cogswell. "We make Cogs and he makes Sprockets. They are not even related! A sprocket is a gear or wheel with metal teeth that meshes with a chain or track. A cog is just part of a gear system. Mr. Spacely is a nice guy, but he should lay off the salt and get some more rest and relaxation."

"Cogswell! Cogswell doesn't know what he's talking about! Whatever we make it's better than his company. I just know it," screamed Spacely. "Leave it to him to make an issue out of everything."

Although Mr. Spacely has suffered three heart attacks and has fired and hired George Jetson 37 times in the past year, he shows little sign of fatigue.

"He keeps going and going and going," yawned George Jetson. "I think I need to close my eyes for a little. I'm sleepy."
