An Inconvenient Truth

What happens when you win the nation's top job and then have it taken away from you, because your opponent has connections? If you are Al Gore, you go on a mission to save the planet. An Inconveinent Truth being released on May 24th, attempts to capture Al Gore's traveling lectures on the dangers of Global Warming. Some film critics are calling it the most important film to see this year. No doubt political oppenents will be outraged by the use of science.

Is the planet headed towards a meltdown? There is much we don't know about global warming, but no doubt it has been getting a bit warmer lately. Following current trends, it might some day be possible to wear shorts, while visiting NYC in January. The only problem is that NYC will be underwater and you'll be on a boat.

Although the Rush Limbaughs of the world might welcome such delicious irony, they too will see the effects of global warming: over population, starvation, endless war, and chaos. Then again based on their current agenda, they might welcome that too. Conservative Republicans are a twisted breed who spit in the face of logic.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this film. Maybe it will scare Americans into believing that we need a more sound environmental policy. After all we are all stake holders in what happens to our planet. If we trash this one, we are not going to get another one.
