The Clinton Legacy

Well, one thing's for sure about the reign of King George - Clinton's historical legacy just shot throw the roof. Think about it this way. In order to put the president's performance into context, you need a perspective. Would Reagan be so idolized if he hadn't had Carter before him and Bush after? I highly doubt it. Having those presidents who are considered weak at best only helped make Reagan's presidency look so much better in comparison. Well, with the Bush idiots on either side, it may only be a matter of time until we start thinking about calling Clinton one of the truly great presidents. Is there room on Mt Rushmore for both Reagan and Clinton?

Besides that, here's something that's been troubling me lately. During the entire Clinton administration, he was hounded by the press, right wingers, and all forms of investigations for things he did before and during his presidency. There was Whitewater, Travelgate, Vince Foster, etc - it goes on and on. Yet to this day, there has been very little substance to any of these charges. And enough time has passed that you would assume people would come forward or if there was any substance someone would have found something. I'm not saying Clinton was innocent - just seems odd that after 14 years we have yet to hear anything besides speculation and a blowjob. Unless Clinton has a mob type organization I would have expected something to happen in the past 14 years.

And yet we have potentially the most corrupt political machine in the history of the US right now. In fact, they have all but declared a dictatorship (check out this fantastic post by Tristero at Hullabaloo). In fact, we know have hookers!!! And still the press remains silent. The right wing propoganda network ignores it or blasts it as angry liberal nonsense. The Congress is happy to have been castrated by this administration, all the time waiting for orders on which body part should be amputated next. I can't even express my outrage anymore - I hope the facilitators can sleep knowing they created the decider. An idiot man-child who's been told his whole life of his greatest even in the face of idiocy and failures. Thanks!!!

And all the while Clinton's legacy rises!!!
