Yannick & Joaquim Noah

Congratulations to the Florida Gators for winning the NCAA Tournament last night. Though I must say their dominance bored the hell out of me. But it's always a good thing when Yannick Noah gets any publicity. See, Yannick's son Joaquim was the dominating presence for the Florida Gators. I'm assuming he was named Most Outstanding Player, but if not he should have been. Within the last month, Joaquim just made himself millions of dollars.

Back to Yannick Noah. Yannick was a world class tennis player in the '80s who won at least one championship (I apologize for not doing the simplest fact check in this post). Probably because of his dreadlocks, Yannick was one of my 2 favorite tennis players growing up - the other was Mats Wilander. I used to hit a tennis ball against the house and pretend to play a match. Usually I was Mats Wilander, but sometimes I was Yannick. So my childhood was definitely impacted by the dreadlocked and future international reggae star. Thanks Yannick!!!
