In case anyone was wondering I'm temporarily filling a position for my client. This requires me to work longer and harder hours - hence, the lack of frequent posts. I definitely want to thank Mike for not only keeping up the fight with quantity but definitelt with quality. Whenever I see how much he writes and how good he writes, I hit myself in the head for working more. Hopefully I'll start to get back to the level we all know and love.

If the news media and the American public let this lie become conventional wisdom we are all screwed. For unlike Iraq, Iran actually has a substantial terrorist organization. Why do these idiots only deal with "problems" 10+ years out?
To summarize the linked article, the US intelligence agency's best estimate is that Iran is 10 years away from having a nuclear bomb. Ten years away mofos!!! They're spreading the lies and distortions and trying to get people to panic but we shouldn't. Sure, we should try to prevent Iran, but why a pre-emptive strike 10 years before they would even have nuclear capabilities. If I think where I was 10 years ago and where I am now it's a completely different world. In fact, the US actually attacked a country that did not provoke us.
These guys are dangerous and need to be stopped. I'd say it's about time for impeachment but I guess that's reserved for blow jobs. It's gonna be a long 3 years - just when you think it can't get worse it seemingly always does.
When does our Network moment come, where everyone steps up and declares "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore." Oh wait, ~70% of the country is already there. Feel any better. If I didn't know better I'd think we were in a dictatorship.
I predicted right after the Plame affair was reported that Bush would not be done in 2008. There would be some national security issue that would "require" him to suspend the amendment preventing him from seeking another term. My mom said I was crazy - the American people would never put up with that. But we've already put up with torture, violating international treaties and laws, attacking countries unprovoked, violating multiple amendments, etc. What's to prevent the breaking of another?
I wish I could be more optimistic but I can't. We removed a King George many moons ago just to see another return. George Washington must be rolling over in his grave right now.
