Year 2000:
It was considered a benefit (to some a selling point) that George Bush would be able to seek advice and guidance from his father and tap into his father's network of friends. And there was no mention of dynasty or monarchy.
Year 2008:
There is concern that a Hillary presidency would circumvent the Constitution and there is genuine concern about a dynasty/monarchy.
