Village of the Damned

To follow-up on the previous post, it's remarkable how much the Very Serious People who have been wrong about everything the past 7 years hate democracy in general and "normal" people specifically. How else to explain their disdain or extreme hatred for Huckabee's win. Sure, I think Huckabee is a loon who would be a god-awful president, maybe worse than the current one if possible. But the way they ignore actual Americans who supported him and focus instead on a 4th place finisher tells you all you need to know about our failed media. I'm not saying we need to celebrate Huckabee for the next 4 months. But would it be so hard to have a night where we acknowledge his victory. That is actually the story - how the underdog with very little money got swept up in a movement that gave him an early victory. It's not unlike a #15 seed winning a first round NCAA game. Sure, he has very little chance of ultimately winning. But we report and focus on the story at the moment, not the inevitable story days from from know.
