Friction

Television was one of the greatest bands of the punk era. They were part of the CBGB NY era, which wasn't so much about a particular sound as it was about an asthetic. It was about a bunch of independent arty types that embraced various sounds. From The Ramones to Television to Patti Smith to Talking Heads to Blondie to on and on.

In a more perfect world Television would be worshiped by the mainstream and not just the indie scene. Television is probably most famous for the intricate guitar interplay from Tom Verlaine (and Richard Lloyd to a lesser degree). And their masterpiece "Marquee Moon" deserves all the critical acclaim it still receives. I am a huge fan of Television and since I was thinking about them thought I would share some music. ENJOY!
