The Govenator and HealthCare

I have to admit that I'm impressed with the govenator's transformation into a leader who works with the opposition party. Sadly, this is something that we do not see much of in today's politics. Since we typically bash Republicans, it would be hypocritical of us not to applaud one who works for his constituents.

Arnold has been aggressively pushing for Universal Healthcare for all Californians. This is the future of healthcare in this country where health care costs are twice as much as any other industrial countries and the results are similar to a poorer country.

I never understood why most people are opposed to Universal Healthcare. If implemented correctly, it can benefit everyone by keeping insurance costs down while making a windfall for the insurance providers and hospitals. The insurance providers would still remain private, but would now be required to provide affordable coverage to all citizens. It sounds like a win-win for everyone.
