Peace on Earth / Little Drummer Boy

I hate to sound like a geezer here, but there are not many duets today in popular music. It's a shame too; especially when you think of the potential matchups: Al Green and Beck, Britney Spears and GWAR, and Axl Rose and K-Fed.

The man who fell to earth and the man who played a priest.

This generation of music is crap compared to the golden age of duets: Bing Crosby and David Bowie, Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney, and Olivia Newton John and John Travolta.

Speaking of the Bowie/Crosby duet, I always thought that Bing Crosby looked a bit uneasy in the "Peace on Earth / Little Drummer Boy" segment. I wonder why? It's not like Bowie did a mountain of cocaine before shooting the thing. Maybe Bing was having a bad day.

Regardless... watching Crosby squirm has become a Christmas classic. He looks like he is going to lose it every time that Bowie does a rumpa-pum-pum. The whole thing is gorgeously odd and is highly recommended. Click here to see the video. Rumor says that the two got it on afterwards. I'm skeptical. Bowie has better taste.
