Homeland Security?

Sorry for the rapid fire posts the last few days, as I'm filling in again this week at work and have limited time to post. But I have 15 minutes so here goes another one.

A Homeland Security database of vulnerable terror targets in the United States,
which includes an insect zoo but not the Statue of Liberty, is too flawed to
determine allocation of federal security funds, the department's internal
watchdog found.

Not sure who exactly to blame here besides the huge governmental agency that is the Department of Homeland Security. Seriously, Times Square and The Statue of Liberty are not terrorist targets but a bean festival is a target. Really, Indiana has the most targets out of any state. This is just ridiculous, disturbing, and probably one of the sickest displays of greediness and the inefficiency of governmental beaucracies I have ever seen. Since government funding gets doled out based on number of targets, someone had a field day helping their friends or screwing their enemies. And the fact that New York's legitimate targets are unaccounted for shows these same people want to screw NY after they suffered the most last time and are at least the second highest threat after DC. Thanks! Nothing like politicizing what you should be protecting.

my theory is that they neo cons are funneling our money into their own private coffers. there are billions missing from katrina and iraq- why not homeland security? there is no one to account to for the money. there are no checks and balances for the money. the money is missing.

Ultimately that has been this administration's objective. Why else to explain all the missing money with mot only no investigations but efforts to prevent accountability. History will not look kindly on these folks, even if the rest of the government and the media are passive now. Funny to think we had to hear endlessly for 8 years about a land deal that even if it would have been proved only netted the Clintons a couple millions while each time billions are missing the story fades after a day or two. Kinda like vigorously trying to solve an assault case but ignoring a serial killer.
