Bush Microphone Error Sort of Revealing

Blair to Bush: "You know, you're kind of an idiot."

As his open microphone G8 remarks reveal, President Bush is not going to receive any good manner awards this year. In a span of 4 minutes, Bush criticized United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, talked about how boring some of the speakers were, and teased Tony Blair about a sweater he recently gave Bush. In true Bush style, Bush used an expletive to show that he is a plain talker who gets right to the point.

"I'm not going to talk too damn long like the rest of them. Some of these guys talk too long."

Yes, we all agree that the less that Bush talks, the better. I even think that if the summit was held without him, real progress might be made. Then again, part of the reason why Bush is there is to f*ck things up and make sure nothing good happens unless it benefits him or his friends.

To be honest Bush's comments are not that bad, but it is insulting to the other representatives and the rest of the world. Then again, the rest of the world thinks Bush is a jerk anyways so this changes nothing.

The Bushies have always had a way with words and occasionally it haunts them. After Hurricane Katrina, Junior's mom once stopped by the astrodome to see how the refugees were getting along and uttered this gem:

"Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this, this is working very well for them."

I am not even going to dissect that one. Plenty of people have already run marathon posts on that comment. I will say that Ma Bush is a bit mean hearted and she shoulders some of the blame for Bush's lack of humanity. Katrina and the Iraq war reflect poorly on Bush and his actions speaks volumes.

Remember when he looked for weapons of mass destruction under his desk? My God, people are losing limbs and their lives and he's out there yucking it up. I used to think that the war was over oil. Let's face it, we are addicted to the stuff.

However, I now think that it was never Bush and Cheney's intention to win this war. Why else would the most incompetent Secretary of Defense ever, Donald Rumsfeld be still in charge? This war is nothing more than a gift to the military industrial complex. It's a blank check to Halliburton, a war profiteer's wet dream. It's also been a gift to the Oil companies, artificially driving up their stocks and prices sky high.

All in all the war is going great if you are an oil company or a defense company, but to the every day person, it looks ugly. Perhaps as ugly as George's heartless soul.
