Q*bert's Jihad

Many people are aware of Q*bert's life long quest to change all tiles from blue to yellow. Very few, however realized that Q*bert declared jihad against some of his enemies.

"I have issued a fatwa for a Holy War against all red bouncing balls, and pineapples in the known universe," declared Q*bert in a 4/11/2006 speech. " Slick and Sam have thwarted me long enough in my pursuit of creating a Blue Title Free World! I must eliminate all my enemies to preserve my legacy and life's work. In order to accomplish our goals, we must step up production of green balls and spinning discs, which have proven to be a critical defense in our war on terror. "

Most of the crowd participants applauded enthusiastically causing Q*bert to do flips in the air followed by a sedated victory strut. Some, such as Carl Shaffer and Susan White were skeptical about the president's approach.

"We are already trillions in debt! Who is going to pay for all these green balls and spinning discs? This jihad is going to cost a fortune!" stated Carl Shaffer.

"We really should be focusing our resources on the gremlins. Ugg and Wrongway are evil terrorists who will stop at nothing. I think that the pineapples: Slick and Slam are presently contained by existing sanctions," stated Homeland Security Expert Susan White.

Conservative Talk Radio Host Robert Hagger was quick to defend Q*bert against critics. "The Liberals are soft on security. They have no plan on how to defeat the bouncing red balls and pineapples which have plagued our universe," stated Hagger.
