ALF

Just when you think TV today is really bad, you remember a show whose premise revolved around a Melmacian alien who was always trying to eat the family cat. According to IMB, Alf was nominated for many prestigious "Young Artist Awards." Yeah... I know what you are thinking. I never heard of it either. But it was enough of an honor to keep it on air for 4 seasons. The show ended in a cliff hanger "Consider Me Gone," when Alf was captured by the Alien Task Force before he could make it on his spaceship. Somehow he escaped and he now periodically shows up in commercials and in a talk show with Ed McMahon (Another alien being) which airs on TV Land.
